A quick walkthrough demo of a vlogging setup including a single LED light bouncing off the wall in the lounge.

For this example I've used a Gioto Tripod and Manfrotto head, but you can use any tripod you like as long as you can get the height you need.

Camera examples for this demo:

Canon 600D
Sony Alpha NEX
iPhone 6s

Audio recorded with a Movo lapel mic (check for these on Amazon) running into my iPhone 5s in my pocket. I synced the audio later. It's an affordable mic, but it's actually quite sensitive, and I'd clip this onto someone's shirt, further away than I did in this demo.

You can use your camera or smartphone to record audio, but you will pick up some echo from the room. You will get much better audio from a microphone. You can plug it into the audio input on your camera or smartphone.

Don't worry about trying to get the perfect setup or combination of gear. New gear is always coming out, and some of your old gear will decide to randomly stop working - just work with what you have, keep practicing and making videos.

(I included the on-screen title twice during the video to try and hit the automatically generated thumbnails that YouTube create. You will need more than 100 subscribers before you can create or set your own thumbnails.)
