Kitchen lighting project, using 20-watt RGBW LED strip lights to complement the existing warm white LED downlights (approximately 2,700K).

Colour-changing RGBW LEDs were chosen over traditional three-colour RGB LED tape, because they have a fourth dedicated white diode. This enables RGBW LED strips to output a perfect warm white light, as well as the ability to mix a nearly infinite palette of other colours.

The video shows the colour-changing LEDs in action, controlled by a wall-mounted RGB/RGBW controller. As well as adjusting brightness, switching on/off and running a range of preprogrammed lighting effects, the controller offers:

- four colour buttons (red, green, blue, white) – press to toggle each colour between off and 100% brightness;

- a central colour-wheel that sets your lights to the shade you choose with just one touch;

- four save buttons, that enable you to store and instantly recall your favourite colour settings.


The full installation includes the following products from InStyle LED:
35 metres of RGBW LED tape (warm white option)
4x power supplies (24-volt 200-watt LED transformers)
1x single-zone RGBW wall controller
1x wifi adaptor
4x multichannel wireless receivers
