Yesterday I bought some lights for my model railway layout (00 gauge). Today I fitted them. One hour for the Waiting Room and Office, 30 mins for the Signal Box, and 90 mins for the platform lights (approx). \r

I used simple lighting kits that are already built, and then I just drilled a few holes and used velcro to hold in the battery cases. The 6V LEDs work very well. \r
\r
For the platform I used brass strips (one positive, one negative) on each side underneath, and then soldered each lamp onto each strip. This is also powered by a 6 volt battery case. Simple, and all of these units are portable. \r
